there are many high value contractors in Citi, 2 in my own team. Of course they choose to remain as contractors for their life style and $$. It's okay for lay offs. it is known risk for contractors but also sympathize with them. They also have families and life

Good. Contractors are low-skilled leeches, exploiting tax loopholes. Contracting should be extremely limited by the government.

Which locations
If contractors are not employees then how do they get laid off. Don't they just get let go?
I thought this already happened with them reducing contractors in tech from 50% of the org to 30%. Is this a new mass layoff?
