Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Leadership is Incompetent

So, people have left and changes are unfolding. Where is our executive leadership team providing updates and regular comms regarding strategy, outlook, short term / long term solutions, etc..?
Here in NJ we see FS and OSP supervisors being shuffled around like a deck of cards by a dealer who wears a mask and has 100% house advantage with no regard for the players nor for the house. Crickets - silence - almost by design to see where the ensuing chaos leads. Most incompetent leadership team in the history of this company. At least the last regime would send us regular (bullsh^*) updates. The concept of effective communication during times of change is hieroglyphics to them. Sad sad sad

It’s really not better in other areas. The “leaders” can’t even get this right. Causing pure chaos for no reason and barely communicating. Putting on impromptu meetings to shuffle or lay people off. This place is on the fast track down the john. It’s disgusting what they’re doing. The incompetence is unbelievable. I hope they’re left with themselves, everyone else needs to go.

This company constantly shuffles supervisors for no real reason, just to keep techs on edge. They blame in-house techs for everything that goes wrong, while letting contractors—some who can’t even speak English—get away with doing a terrible job. That’s why 90% of the customers in the towns we service have already switched to Fios or other providers. My depot has 95% of techs work in the low income areas on the daily because Optimum is still the cheaper option so, the customers there embrace the su-k. There is no work in the other towns cause everybody there already made the switch and the work that there is left they route the contractors there who can't speak English resulting in us losing the remainder of those customers.

Executive leadership at this company is without a doubt the most pathetic I have ever seen in my 24 years in the industry. The only reason any of them have managed to maintain a career is they have never stayed anywhere long enough to really do anything. None of them have one single accomplishment they can point to and say “I did that!” None of them have produced anything from DM all the way down to the newest low level VP who doesn’t know whether to sh!t or wind his watch. None of them have any critical thinking skills that I have been able to see, in fact just the contrary. He-l I doubt if they could solve a crossword puzzle in the Sunday paper! There is a Sr Director that lives and offices in Philadelphia that I am regularly on calls with and I wonder how this guy ever got a job in this industry? He is in a Sr Mgmt position with this company, doesn’t live anywhere close to an Optimum area but he is making decisions on which markets should be upgraded etc. Due to his lack of knowledge the upgrades that are taking place are a complete disaster because of his decisions. He has missed things a person with 1 or 2 years experience in construction or design would have known about but yet he somehow still has a job. He will gladly throw someone under the bus but will become extremely defensive when his decisions are questioned and his mistakes revealed. This company for all intents and purposes has no leadership.
