Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

And now we want you to work Saturday too!

Nielsen has outsourced entire departments, cut staffing in all remaining areas to to the bone, tells us they have reduced our work load, and now I find out I get to work Saturday too. But hey, it’s okay, we will make you take off another day of the week so you won’t go over 40hrs/week. My work load has tripled after the layoffs. Now instead of field work, I get to do more remote work. No matter what you call it, it’s still more work than the current number of employees can realistically do, no matter which day of the week I do it on.

Yeah, the same colleagues that willfully trained offshore replacements to keep their measly jobs while watching those on their teams disappear, and are the only ones left now due to being corporate a** kissers.

So sorry you’re now feeling what all of your colleagues felt when you turned your back on them and watched them being let go. Again, no empathy for anyone left at Nielsen so get lost.

@h3 for what it’s worth, I no longer work for the company and left on my own accord. The people on here were my colleagues and I show compassion and can relate to their concerns. Coming from someone who has been around for many, many years there is a proper way of responding to people having a difficult time adapting to all these changes and an improper way. Showing support and guidance and expressing yourself in a compassionate way is much better than displaying anger and hatred for the decisions people make. It’s not your life. People have a right to express their feelings whether it goes against your beliefs or not. I’m done. Take your anger elsewhere.

Yeah, because those here that were let go due to those like you here who “care for the company” more than they ever cared for their colleagues should be shown empathy and compassion now that the company has it’s sights set on you?

Hard pass. You’re as much of the problem as the company is.

@f2 Many people are on here to vent as an outlet and we shouldn’t be here to judge. Everyone has their own reasons for making the decisions they are making and we have all had to make difficult ones throughout our lives. Maybe we should show more support and provide guidance instead of bashing people who continue to care for the company and provide an income for their families.

Would hate to have a “job” that after knowing for years it was coming to an eventual end, and the company the entire way treated you like dirt without even trying to hide it, that you STILL wouldn’t find enough self respect to leave and find something better, then come here to complain about mistreatment.

Boy, the lowest of the low left here. Professional victims and nothing else.

Another brilliant “vision decision” made by those it doesn’t impact. They think everything is peachy keen meanwhile everyone feeling the impacts are past the point of really giving a damn. I clock in for the day, do what I gotta do, and clock out.

They aren’t making you do anything like working Saturdays or staying in your prison cell. You are. The door has always been open, but you refuse to leave while complaining about it versus simply making your exit.
