I was notified today that I'll be terminated by the end of July if I don't relocate closer to one of the sites. I'm a fully remote employee. Just passing along the info for others to be aware.

The remote worker scam was going to end whether Intel recovers or not.
Interesting.
Corporate had said those who were fully remote before all of this could stay fully remote. It was assumed that this would be with employment.
Guess not.
Confirmed. Know someone in the same predicament.
OP is being silly of course.
He won't be laid off for working remote, he will be laid off for wasting company time on the internet.
OP is Known.
Intel is not offering any relocation package right now to bring back fully remote workers, even those with strong past performance. We feel disrespected by the company.
@OP I got the same new from management unofficially! Remote workers who are living in none-Intel sites will be impacted regardless of performance ratings, though this is still under assumption
Relocation package????
The entire EU is on the precipice of becoming some Orwellian freak-show
@d1 UK most certainly has become one unless you are one of them isl..amics
@ah Didn't know the UK was a third world country...
Sounds like OP is remote to his team and far away from any main campus too.
Lol @ how many people are in denial that a full RTO is inevitable. LBT flat out says he doesn’t believe in Remote work and some of you are still plugging your ears.
@OP While I'm not sure I believe this post, I do believe that was part of the RTO plan; to get rid of fully remote workers.
Fu-k you troll OP. What 3rd world country do you live in ? Intel has sites everywhere
I just spoke to a friend that was told the same. Either they agree to relocate or they are out.
I don't believe OP ever worked at Intel.
It’s true
Relocate by end of July??? Okay guy.
Sure, pumpkin.
Prove it …
yea right! Troll
