I like the feeling of trust and respect that a 5x5 waist height open sided cubicle gives me.
When I was young I aspired to go to a top College, get a degree, enter the work world, work hard for my professional designation and finally work in a corporate office of a big blue chip company and sit in a half cubicle with no privacy, endless distractions and noise. I love the collaboration of hearing a dozen conference calls at once, so much energy, it’s like the stock exchange floor!
One day I aspire to move up the ladder and get a fishbowl office with a door! It’s fun, like being in a human sized display case! Look at me I’m a hermetically sealed action figure!
I don’t even have to ask to go to the bathroom and I get free coffee!
Ain’t that the truth! Who thought these cube farms were a good idea?
Houston is looking like an Indian call center! Yee ha! You can’t have professionals working in cubicle farms, how’s a senior engineer supposed to concentrate on technical reviews while working on a desk in grand central station during rush hour. Might as well save even more money and have everyone work from the food court at the Galleria for free!
