I was part of layoffs this spring, and it took me about 6 weeks but I’ve been at my new job for almost a month and it’s like night and day. Supportive leadership, ethics and compliance training with an intro by the CEO and CFO, commitment to DEI, and a focus on patient care first. I only say this (and post this) because there ARE companies out there that treat employees as valued assets and are committed to patients. I have several close friends at Optum, and am encourage them to look outside as well.

"Commitment to DEI"? You're new organizations days are numbered. Better find some boxes to pack your belongings. Again.....
So true, this company and its culture are so toxic with many very depressed and only making it thru the day cause they take a boatload of pharmaceutical’s meds. And your leadership, they don’t care because the more you produce the more they shine and at the year end when you get your pittance of a raise and bonus, they are laughing all the way to the bank. Their job is to make sure you drink the kool aid. Had a talk with a manager last week. Her words were we have rules. I laughed. Rules, UHG and its subsidiary have homeless employees. They sit in cars , restaurants , etc to do their jobs. This is how pathetic this company is. Employees who don’t recieve a living wage, can’t afford their internet or housing but show up to work everyday. Meanwhile the productivity metrics are getting higher and higher. Good job she says. Just like a dog. Good job. Of courseI am doing a good job, I am meeting a task that should be impossible unless I speeding through it, rushing and rushing. That’s what I tell my dog when he accomplishes a task that he in nature wouldn’t even be expected to do. Good job!
Yep....remember that the longer you're in a bad marriage the more you doubt your ability to find true love again....I have co-workers who've been here their whole careers who are far more anxious than those of us who job hop.
