Very toxic leadership in MA especially in core payments. You should su-k up to your manager on a daily basis if you want to keep your job. I stopped doing that last quarter and im so close to getting laid off. I see the signs.

I got let go recently....yes core payments is simply about a-s kissing and just doing what your bosses say. And all mgrs are afraid of their mgrs.......and the people that get promoted and recognized are the ones that do the best job with internal updates .....glossy su-k up fake cr-p ppts. Core runs everything it takes on.....and hasn't had an original thought ever. Remember these are the people that brought masterpass......remember that....you couldn't look anywhere and not see an advertisement for that. What happened to that magical idea? MC makes its money as long as the network stays on and takes its cut from every card transaction. And everyone working there just works on unoriginal products, that no customers need or want and won't buy, so then MC mandates it, charges customers for it, and then moves onto the next d-mb idea
knew someone in the core team that was let go recently.... agreed with the toxic environment. the leaders dream and sell more than they could delivery, and shoot down anyone with alternative ideas. Why hire talent when all they wanted was followers?
Meh, the Indian trend has been at MC for decades. Europe rode the ESG and TPM bandwagon but that lost its luster after the election. They’ll pander to Trump for a bit with the RTO trend and insource a for a couple years until they decide what the next administration wants.
Mastercard is joining the offshoring wave. Every Indian that becomes vp or svp is just looking to cut cost to climb the ladder and get their crown. How do they do that? Oh we need to lay everyone in the US off and hire 30 ppl in india to replace 5. They think quantity of quality. Leadership really needs to curb indian leaders pushing for this. Ppl are trying to escape because the writing is on the wall. Even their slaves, the H1B employees are afraid. There's a reason it's called "master" card... but honestly working with offshore team is brutal. I mean brutal. They dont get it, you can't understand them, on boarding is way too long, oh and did I mention they n dont get it!!! Mastercard use to be an American company now it's an Indian company. Shame on them
Its like that everywhere. Companies are looking for any reason to fire.
