Thread regarding Acxiom Corp. layoffs

Acxiom recently cut around 3.5% of staff (about 130 people) as the layoff hiit account mgmt, client services, fin analysts, and SP. They're folding us in with kinesso under unified leadership which everyone saw coming...... Some people's last day was march 15. they also eliminated our CPO role (mary ward) is gone . leadership says this is tied to the omnicom acquisition of IPG that's supposed to save 750M in costs, yeah, right...... Omnicom ceo told us client-facing people were "gold" (hahaha, why dont you treat them as gold then) and not to worry but here we are cutting client services roles anyway... Deal still needs gov approval but the cuts are already happening.... feels like we're just getting absorbed before the merger even goes through. we'lll see...
