Five9 recently axed 4% of staff (100+ people) to focus more on ai stuff. hahahah. they say its about prioritizing investments in key strategic areas hahhaa what does that even mean, i guess it's polished CORP speak for we need to save money and cut folks... gonna cost them around 8 million in severance and stock payouts over the next 2quarters. they told everyone weshould be done cutting by end of june. feels like every call center software company is doing the same sh-t right now cut people to invest in ai that might replace more people later and we train ai, bullsh-t 100%. if you work in this space heads up that things are shifting fast and there will more pain for many Quarters to come...
