Working at hims and we just cut 68 people (about 5% )... coms are saying it's not related to the wegovy ban but the timing is suspicious as he-l... we've been making cheap copies of wegovy since early 2024 ($200M+ in sales last year). gov banned the copies on 5/22 and the stock tanked (-15%)....
Now we're trying "personalized" versions to get around the ban but everyon knows that novonordisk will sue us. the Market & WS are predictin it...MGmt says it's about efficiency and we're still hiring for growth roles LOL, yep... we also signed a deal with novo to sell the real wegovy now..
it's fairly stressful here. lose a 200M rev stream then cut staff - you connect the dots...
