Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

He’s up to something

Anyone think Ebel is trying to push out costs, making Enbridge look like we have stellar years only to sell some of the company off? Rumor swirling around is Venture Global is gonna buy gas transmission.

Don’t forget the mistress that had to be paid off too.

My guess is the rumor is from a non credible source. Gas transmission is the lions share of the company’s growth. It makes no business sense to sell that only to keep the most stagnant parts of the business.

Ebel needed the money after the Spectra buyout as his first wife divorced him and he had to pay her off. He sold a boatload of shares which he had to disclose in the annual report. Money is the only way these CEOs keep score.

Well if I recall he got $42 million buyout to leave Spectra Energy in 2019.
And sat on board of directors for a few years for $3 - 4 million a year.
Then got the Enbridge lead job for $19 million a year.
So any decision he makes will be for the best of employees.
Cause he cares nothing about money.
