If you aren’t in the office for a full day you will be disciplined. Somehow less flexibility then before Covid

@6wa meaning if you don’t show up you don’t get paid, or if some people don’t show up we don’t get paid?
Exec team is planning on having attendance tied to bonus output.
If they want to play those games, I’m happy to work 8 to 5 Monday through Friday. ONLY
@2hm not really. If it happens, I’ll gladly take fire to protect my teams.
@2gy You aren't concerned about investigation into your inaction?
I have a several large teams under me and simply ignore emails about people in my org not meeting minimum in-office requirements. They get the job done so I don’t care where they work.
@259 Nice try diddy....😏
@259 sure! Here’s a video showing how to - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
@259 you sound like upper management trying to catch folks up. Better ask your coworkers
So, let's hear about those secret exits...
Agree. As long as an employee does quality work, completed on-time, the hours and where they work should not matter.
Some folks don’t know how to manage so they “make busy work”.
Pretty sad when badging in and out is so worrisome, management should have better things to do than police 👮 their employees, a good manager would know if their employees are doing their jobs or not.
@1ta I can think of plenty of ways to walk out of the building without badging out, sure. That is hardly a secret. Getting my car out of the garage without badging out of the garage, however, would be more difficult.
@z6 there are secret ways, known only to a few, to leave without badging out at GHQ.
@z6 Dallas. The parking garage you have to use your badge however, I take the DART rail system and walk to the building so no one knows when I leave other than me not being at my desk, which I’m hardly ever at since I’m in Teams meetings all day.
@vc where are you based that you don’t badge out? At GHQ you badge in and badge out.
They can check the IP address of the router you are connected to and correlate with location. They can cross correlate with outlook calendar. They can do a dozen other things. If they are smart they will evaluate the quality of work you perform instead.
@vf thanks! Jokes on them since I take the train and walk to the building (Dallas)
@vc they can check when you badge out the parking deck. But this is all politics and has nothing to with productivity. Most companies were forced to go back in office 5 days a week to help the economy. If everyone is at home, then that affects the businesses around them. This has nothing to do with work and everything to do with politics! I’m sure the city offered a tax cut if people are staying in office longer.
How would they even check? You badge in but don’t badge out. Many cut out early to avoid traffic, pick up kids or whatever other reason. One chick I work with leaves at 11 on the dot on the daily, goes home and stays on till like 6.
What countries is this happening in?
I have heard they are checking that you’re in the office for 6 hrs
Atleos is doing the same thing...
Be sure to bring a note from mommy so the mo--ns in charge will know you did not skip work.
Yeah I don't see a lot of people following this
Go to the office.
