Thread regarding McDonald's Corp. layoffs

2025 Layoffs

Recently heard that, with the opening of corporate offices in Mexico and India, a number of jobs will be transferred there. That means that US-based employees will likely have to train their replacements, before being laid off. Any other news on this topic? Details have been scarce, so far.

@dz1 this happened to the Columbus accounting center. Only a fool would trust McDonald’s leadership right now with treating their dedicated workers with any class. There are so much better jobs out there in the corporate world time to leave this will happen again and again.

I heard the Talent Acquisition team just got laid off and McD is hiring replacements in Mexico City. Any other teams affected?

Yep. I got the letter last week. I have an end date in early 2026. I have to train my replacement. Waiting for the media to get their hands on this story. Eliminating American jobs and replacing them with people in India.

I heard this from one of the impacted US corp employees, as well. No details on the number of positions being eliminated in the US, but the India office they opened can hold 2000 people.
