Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Three more former coworkers were laid off!

They knew it would happen eventually but it still hurts when it happens.

They gave Nielsen 10-20+ years of service and Nielsen just throws them out for cheaper labor overseas.

Nielsen is just sealing their fate! I will laugh when I hear that they have to declare bankruptcy or because another company overtakes them and becomes the new leader in the industry!

Seems the leadership feels they need to get out of the US while they can. Given the polticial climate maybe seems a bit misguided as if they're chewing their own leg off.

They should be scaling up US positions imho right now. It's a great time to hire domestically- you can find who you need at half price.

PRS here; We have had a multitude of homes call in and complain or email us about losing their longtime field reps. Some are refusing to continue participation without their rep, so per expected, Nielsen will feel the ugly reality of its big headed decisions immediately. We love to see the homes stand ten toes down in solidarity! As a PRS’, those of you let go, my thoughts are with you whole heartedly. My last day is approaching and every day it gets harder to find a single ounce of motivation for this greedy corporation.

9 year veteran Field Rep, Circle of Excellence winner this year. My position was randomly selected for elimination.
Nielsen is in a lot of trouble and their customers should be worried about the quality of their panel data.

I was let go yesterday as a FR of 6 years. I was one of the more experienced FRs in my market and tenure was not a factor. Had a feeling when the 1 on 1 meeting with the director came in late Tuesday evening. Such a shame.
