Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

I believe in the Purple!

I see so much dislike about this bank, I just want to say I am extremely happy here, I do not fear a layoff, and I truly think our future is bright! #TeamTruist

I believe in the purple as well. Just learned my promotion will be effective July 1 and I will be fully remote! So glad I left WF.

@xn If you like it, it isn't by definition, misery.

Well I like being miserable so that’s why I stay here.

The amount of jobs SunTruist has posted all over LinkedIn is mind blowing. The number of outside managers and upper level managers they continue to hire is truly unbelievable. I guess Bill and his fellow Suntrust minions decided to blow it all up and start over. The shame is the BOD didn’t let a new CEO do it now rather than after Bill is gone and it be blown up again.

@k3 I have liked your posts, but I have to ask, why are you still here if you have nothing good to say about the bank?

Life is too short, I just want to be happy, if I am not, I make a change, hence why I left WF. Jobs are easy to come by if you have talent and skills, if anyone feels stuck then do something about it, get a new skill, hone the skills you have. Never allow yourself to get complacent and stuck, your mental health will thank you.

I respect the optimism—and I genuinely hope you’re right! But just to be safe, I’ll be over here building a lifeboat while you’re polishing the deck chairs on the S.S. Truistanic. Purple faith is a beautiful thing… until the budget iceberg hits. 😉 #DifferentShadesOfPurple #JustHereForTheSnacks#DontDrinkThePurpleKool-aid

If you are good at your job, Truist rewards you, those of you complaining must not be doing your job well.

OP, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. However, I believe most would disagree with you.

Watching the destruction has been painful and our best days ended 5+ years ago. Personally, I’m planning to jump off the Truist train before it derails. Just waiting for that soft landing. I have it in sight.

I missed the memo that augmenting is our new buzzword. Augmenting with a purpose! Got to give ole Bill his due, he can baffle em with bullsh#t.

BillyBob says:
“We use the word augmented intelligence in our company. Words are really important to us. The way we refer to things are really important to us. So thinking about augmenting. So you’re augmenting the teammate experience and you’re augmenting the client experience and augmenting the shareholder return.”
