Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

What can I say, galls and guys?

I’m truly sorry that we’ve all had to endure this for so long, and that we’ll likely continue to go down, one by one, with this sinking ship. We’re paying the price for bloated leadership, poor management, and the endless pursuit of profit.

Our contributions, integrity, creativity, and professional ethics have been consistently overlooked. We’ve done the most meaningful work, yet we’ve been treated as if we don’t matter.

Just in this latest round, I’ve seen some incredibly talented people, true veterans, let go on a whim. It makes it hard to care about what comes next.

So please, hold on, and make sure you take care of yourselves first. We all deserve better.

Don't lose sight of why this has been going on for over a year now: because for every dollar the company saves in cutting salaries for this sale, Shari Redstone gets a penny. And she likes pennies far more than she likes you.

Well said. I could not agree more. I wish everyone much luck and resilience.
