@am Eventually, the street is going to realize that the EPS is only good because the company was downsized by recurring RIFs. They are going to realize that this is not sustainable. They are going to realize that cutting headcount does not fix the root problem.

The rifs will make eps good next quarter. It was a good (short term) call. Makes earnings calls easier. That’s all we got.

@OP So the hammer fell and hit a large number of employees this time across the entire organization...seems a bit crazy to me that they cut customer facing support as well as security/performance/support specialists that produce the much needed revenue for the company where dwindling revenue is the chronic problem for this company. Who will run these projects and who will generate the revenue now? Dwindling customer base will not be delighted with lack of knowledgeable support, scarce resource availability that was already struggling to meet demand, and new (clueless) customer facing staff that lack the knowledge/background. Several remaining staff are saying that these cuts are so deep that the company will likely not recover - and this was part one of a two-part RIF...so it's only going to get worse...
