What's up with data? It's become a huge bloatware with too many MD's and intangible progress, bogged down by documentation that the OCC didn't ask for or require. EDO needs a clearout starting with his directs first - most of them are useless anyway. The chief isn't even aware of the rot within some of his own teams because his directs keep feeding him a rosy picture and he's drinking their kool aid.

Another issue in data is the army of robots they claim are 'check and challenge' led by RS. These paper pushers with no knowledge of anything other than generalist obstruction about this or that word or terminology somewhere in the use cases is beginning to outsize the data doers. When the real examiners come, this army of generalists will wilt within 5 minutes.
@ez welcome to the club of the shuffling the deck and hoping to achieve a different outcome. Nothing is going anywhere in data. They aren't even sharing the OCC feedback from a month back.
My area has been shifted around 5 times in the last year. I have no idea what team I really work for. Let alone what direction I’m supposed to be taking. Perfect as we come into our mid year performance process.

There's something to be said about propriety when almost all consulting in the data space is done by the alma mater of AN and TR. Both are out of depth in their respective departments. TR is certainly no CTO. Bringing in partners from the Big 4 is not the brightest of ideas in the real world. Partners are adept at sales and pitches because of the gift of the gab. Most are not technical. There are others at the Big 4 who aren't partners but very technically accomplished.
There are way toio many glib talkers with no real substance in the data space. They owe their positions to that. Steal ideas from their juniors and pass it off as their own in front of AN. Give his directs a basic data exam and most of them will flunk it if they aren't allowed to consult their juniors.
God help $hittybank if the OCC ever undertakes an audit of the profile of the senior data leaders.

Most if not All employees will have Schadenfreude When Not If $hitibank finally keels over and goes bankrupt. Never say never. $hitbank is financially and operationally unstable. The word "Never" was also said at Now De@d Bear Stearns, Lehman, Credit Suisse, etc..
Holding the Layoff Axe over employees' heads for years, threatening them with Layoffs, cracking the whip to force employees to work longer hours and harder, as well as the fear and paranoia is NO way to live or work !!! Schadenfreude and Trojan Horses ! LMFAO !!!
Then again, EDO's boss TR is more into writing long, rambling emails about his family and the so-called lessons we are supposed to derive from the rambles than trying to figure out why data is a sh-t show at $hittybank. Might even get a reprieve from further fines and sanctions under this administration (not commenting on any political party) so that's another reason for not caring. Just earn the millions, travel to different cities and see the world on $hittybank dime in first class and then move on to the next gig. After all, partner level pension will also keep coming from PwC for life.
