Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Layoffs coming

Anyone any idea which areas will be affected. Will it be middle management or a full sweep of the company. Would imagine the people close to the wafers are secure but would never know with Intel.

SGLs are so overpaid for what little they contribute, it’s criminal.

Core engineering and techs in production will be targeted. Management most likely will be fine as usual. Anyone telling you otherwise I'd a liar and the enemy.

@a6
I keep wondering why one side always has such d-mb-a-s, juvenile slogans. Feels like I'm back in junior high.

Who knows? LBT wanted to flatten management but I heard some management are creating bullsh-t titles so they’re no longer officially “management” but still doing the same job. I am not a garbage man, I am a sanitation engineer.

LBT intended to layoff the wasted management layers, but the managers have find ways to secure themselves:

  1. Some managers switch to IC, and rebrand them to be technical lead. LOL. how can these MBA be technical lead?
  1. Some managers will make their groups larger to secure themselves position. LOL, the bad managers get promoted and stay even more safely.

This round of layoff will be the largest and worst in Intel history.
