So the genius Idea is employees at a company that is losing a million a day wants to unionize.
Didn’t anyone ever teach you to flip your argument and think what the other side could do?
Hmm- if I were on the other side I’d…
Move the company out of state to save state taxes and move to a state with lower salaries and cost of living.
Use machine learning and A.I. so I could run an efficient company with fewer employees.
Possibly move the headquarters to Mexico … remember NAFTA…
If all else fails, file for bankruptcy. Then sell the company to another one of my companies. Get the tax breaks. Start a new company with the cream of the crop employees. That are performing daily.
All they need to do is what is done routinely at other companies. Change the job title and some job functions. Say the position has been eliminated and let employees apply to the new position with will have much more responsibility. Only hire a fraction of the people that were in the old position.
My husband is union.
They negotiated a 10% raise in July for some of the functions that had work duties redefined and another 10% raise this month for everyone across the board. Tell me how awful unions are again.
According to Gallup, 7% of non-governmental workers are unionized. Think there might be a reason that number is so low? Maybe it’s because profitability is the #1 factor in job security, and unions spend their time protecting the lazy and unproductive workers.
That's a good call for Tesla and SpaceX.
Wee bit late for the twit pit.
Unionizing does not have to be violent, btw.
The Union would sc--w you more than Musk. All they do is take your money and get fat. Ask FORD employees about the pension benefits the Union secured for them over decades. Felt like a good thing till it wasn't everyone lost money except the Union.
Too late for that. Besides you just wait for someone else to start it don't you - don't talk about it but do it - otherwise it's just hot air.
Everybody is already as good as fired, everybody knows that. Unionizing and getting EVERYBODY to walk out at once could have made some difference, but sadly it might be too late already.
