Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

intel just like Motorola in the mid 2000's

Intel reminds me of Motorola in the early to mid 2000's major layoffs, then dump parts of the company. pretty soon they will start to consolidate buildings then sale the buildings and property.

I still love my Motorola walkie talkies.

There are parallels. Chris Galvin ignored the transition to digital cellular in favor of analog. That was the beginning of the end. Once Mot spun off Freescale, that was the killshot. Motorola was a company that had its fingers in some many industries but then they decided becoming a cell phone company was a winning move.

Disclaimer: I worked at Motorola in the 90s and now work for Intel.

You are running a few years behind. Intel has been doing building consolidation for a while.

Intel just like Motorola... harsh broh.

All that is left of Mot is pretty much special purpose comms gear for police and fire departments.

Not a good ending.

Sadly Intel is on its way out, to many money hungry people used and abused the company for years. There is no coming back. Nvidia, AMD, ARM and TSMC are too far ahead to catch up.
