Inexcusable System outage Saturday

When they chose to close the Lorain location that managed the entire POS system across all divisions what did they think would happen? Have a great Black Friday with black screens on dead POS machines.
Ask yourself this.....do you walk into Nordstrom or any other major retailers and not be able to purchase merchandise due to registers not working? Then have no one on site with any Technical experience to help? They screwed that up too by laying off in house support...........NCR could care less about the problem.
Always updating programs right before the Holiday without piloting long enough to work put glitches. Best of luck you guys!

I have alluded to this on other posts as a former MTech Field Technician. Penny wise and pound foolish. Not a good time of year for updates and system changes unless necessary. Some sites experienced outage with freewifi also and ability to scan on the older RFID handhelds. I agree closing Lorain was a big mistake NCR some of them care at least the legacy people from MTech who are still around which are not many. NCR is another poorly managed company that lets people go because of $$ most of the time nothing to do with performance. They run their people around with unrealistic expectations.

Fire the programmers and all the big guys sitting behind their desks in Georgia or where ever they are. Call Jeff Bezos and ask for help!
