The "Sunday scaries" refer to the feelings of anxiety, dread, or unease that many people experience on Sundays, particularly in the evening, as the weekend ends and the workweek approaches. These feelings are often associated with anticipatory anxiety about returning to work and facing the responsibilities of the coming week.

Sorry to hear and can totally relate. About a year ago I realized I had it along with many of my teammates... After an unnecessarily stressful reorg myself and nearly all my teammates were let go and frankly, I feel a ton better as do all of my former teammates that I've spoken to since. Let that sink in for a moment and remember that your health and sanity are far more valuable than your paycheck. Take the next available package and don't look back!
Please stop doing this in the office!
I just clean the ol' pipes and I'm ready to go.
No, this is a real problem.
If you're in the process of being fired and it is not for cause, hang in there and make them pay you the severance!
If you're being fired for cause or not being fired, see if there is a better job for you elsewhere.
It's Monday already...no need to comment on this thread anymore.
You must be one of those people whose spouse realized during Covid they didn’t actually like you when you were forced to spend time with them. I agree with the other person. If your dogs don’t even like you, then you have some soul searching to do.
@aw poster that hates there life outside of Shell must be an boot li---r, manger or VP where they receive fake praise at work and expect real praise at home. He-l if you don’t even get long with your dog I suggest you take a hard look in the mirror and realize all your life choices were wrong that you end up in a space where you worship Shell..
I wonder how many people who have "Sunday Scaries" we're also told "to find a job you love to do."
Do you think that people who work an assembly line "love what they do?" It's a job. It puts food on the table.
Time to find a new job for you OP if your daily job responsibilities give you dread.
I rather go to work than stay at home with screaming kids, barking dogs and a nagging spouse.
Totally relate to that… People at work simply su-k these days.
