Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

I am coming back to Truist after 18 months.

I know we remember how it was before the merger. It is bad at Wells and Chase. They don’t offer a pension either. For people in there 50s it is something to think about. I am coming back to get back my pension. It’s not any better any where else. Try to just be happy or transfer if you can. Just my personal experience.

I am just keeping my head down and staying under the radar until I can retire. I have no desire to grow my career, take any more classes, meet with a career coach or any of that BS. Just leave me alone and let me do my job.

@d6 but HR and Bill Rogers swears with tears of purpose that 4% IS on par with our peers! I mean it must be true if it’s in the purpose corner where every voice matters, one team, and a crock of sh-t live in harmony! Don’t forget Donta’s bonus for breathing. He has an amazing strategy….grow deposits!

Was that too big of a break in service to stay in the pension?

Stunning anyone would come back to this sht show. CIO and CTO are the same as the old regime, they just actually know tech. Was hopeful but that all went up in smoke with they lowered everyone's review to steal their money.

Wow, you obviously are not the sharpest kn--e in the drawer:

  1. why would you leave and come BACK and not just go to another bank
  2. you haven’t run the numbers, the pension is nice but the 4% 401k match is sub par and negates any benefit the pension provides.

So seems like you deserve to be back and will fit right in with the majority of the subpar, mediocre, can’t think for themselves teammates left here; so, congratulations???

Wouldn’t work at Chase or Wells. 5 days RTO a dealbreaker. Wells su-ks and always will. There are companies that have better cultures and employee experience than Truist though
