Im glad you get my point. The people responsible for those bad decisions and lack of innovation were all terminated. The company is now making good decisions and thinking beyond retail.
@d3 Sears Home Services has been in decline for a very long time. I was a tech and left Sears in 2018 after being there for 30 years because of poor business management. It’s dying very slowly and is on life support. Hopefully they will just pull the plug and let it die. It’s death is past due.
@d3 The catalog needed to be mechanized so instead the company lacked vision and shut it down, thus opening a success path for Amazon. Lack of vision ki-led the company. Lack of investment in stores and systems ki-led the stores. Lack of investment is ki-ling the home service business. No investment in trucks or technical training is forcing the Barbie (The Col's boss) to cut salaries well before the AI tools are operating correctly. No investment in parts, selling off trucks and the technical work force is driving substantial turn over. The owner, The Barbie, and The Col all lack the ability to make this a thriving business, it is almost like they are deliberately destroying what is left of this ICON company. Verry sad.
A good business move. Why should we continue to pay someone to make phone calls and schedule appointments, when it can be easily automated? This is what we call "making good business decisions".
If you guys were in charge, you would be trying to run money losing brick and mortar stores along with the Sears printed Catalog lol
