Thread regarding Teladoc layoffs

3rd times not the charm

89 more let go from TD today. This is the 3rd RIF this year. They can’t seem to figure out how to manage a budget unless it involves cutting headcount. No vision, no strategy, no leadership, no innovation. Sad but true. Good employees are leaving cuz they are sick of it.

Another set of layoffs at Teladoc announced yesterday, 3% of the US workforce. Seems like every time I log into LinkedIn another person from the company is laid off. They announce it to an email to everyone and we’re left to wonder and hope we’re not going to get an email with our manager or HR and be impacted.

Every member of the board of directors who approved, or did not object to, the acquisition strategies from 2017 to 2024 should resign. Growth through acquisition is a terrible strategy for companies, i.e. Teladoc, who don't have positive earnings.

Teladoc did not capitalize on the products and services of the acquired companies. Teladoc redefined the term "synergies" as 1 + = -3!!

Teladoc has no positive economies of scale: more members, more medical professionals needed. Even if demand for services increase, if the doctors are not available, no service revenue.
