Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Exhausted with False Sense of Support

So tired of the false sense of support Dell gives to their employees.

“Just blindly follow our broken process even though it will get you no where.”

Rely on your pod (20 people on phone bringing nothing of value)

Hit up x-x.assist@dell.com (dgaf unless multi-million gpu deal)

MWD/FSR being non-existant.

It’s such a clear lack of understand how large ISG deals are done. Bring back the EMC days where they actually gave a $hit about their customers and employees.

I’m exhausted. Just replace me with an agentic AI or even worse someone that treats ISG like run rate…. since that’s the clear direction you are heading.

I was a legacy Dell employee. I worked with lots of EMC people, good people, but I never saw any of them walk on water. It's been 10 years now. I have zero doubt that Dell wasted a lot of opportunity to maximize EMC's people and technologies. But it wasn't a merger, Dell bought EMC. It gets really old hearing all of the belly aching about Dell. I don't see EMC people as being superior and in ISG where they put EMC leaders in place over Dell groups that I was in, it was a total disaster and they were completely incompetent.

Regardless, y'all, everyone is in the same life raft, I am not a believer in all of the us vs. them attitude.

"@aw “EMC” is not an acronym, it is an abbreviation. Most educated people know the difference."

I guess that excludes everyone this site then.

The back and forth sniping is beyond tiresome.

All I can say is for the last 2y at dell, EMC employees I worked with were more sophisticated
The dell ones were really small-town and unimpressive.

“Why do people keep using this "EMC" acronym, is that something cool Dell did? All I can find is a company that stopped existing a decade ago due to mis-management that led to its sale.”

No. Dell isn’t capable of doing anything innovative or cool. They put computer parts together and are a manufacturing and operations company. EMC on the other hand is an innovative technology company that was worth $65B. So if you think it was failing well then you’re a id10t.

This is a joke right? Dell's upper management looks like little soccer coaches when compared to janitors we had at EMC.

Remember when ISG used to have actual real support centers staffed with well trained employees instead of call centers teaming with mindless drones?
