Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Replacing experienced teams with cheaper hires is shortsighted

Younger workers won’t tolerate the unpaid overtime we did. Truist’s trading institutional knowledge for short-term savings, and it’ll cost them in the end.

Most of the institutional knowledge has either been riffed or left on its own. EL doesn’t care and the bank is still operating. When all this high priced talent they keep bringing in can’t get deals done because it takes too long then they also will leave. Yes Bill the behind the scenes work is just as important or more so than your out front glamour children.
