@2b1+1jwxfj3x4 Many were converted to higher roles than what was equivalent to what they aligned with when they were contracts. Some that should have been AVP/VP were made SVP. C!t! math! These people did nothing or made up fake non-essential work.
Hiring freeze announced today to me was told to stop recruiting efforts and hr can't extend offers
@20a Many Contractors in Tech Data were converted to Permanent FTE in the past 1 to 2 months.
What's one thing they had in common ? They were (Unemployed) Contractors for about 2 years in Citi. For 2 or more years they had No company paid medical insurance, No 401k/pension, No dental insurance, etc.
It certainly looks like Citi is in a Hiring Freeze. I get daily email alerts with Citi job postings and compared to last year, it's been very sparse.
I noticed that most of the open jobs / requisitions are in Tech and Data. And from the looks of it, 70%+ are Tech and Data. There are very few in other departments. So I don't know why other posters are saying there are very few job openings in Tech and Data.
Anyone who tells me Citi is not in a Hiring Freeze is emphatically Lying.
Yes we are in tech
