Thread regarding PacifiCorp layoffs

Any layoffs in 2025?

What do you think about possible layoffs in 2025? Pacificorp is pretty solid but you never know especially if there are so many doors closed nowdays. Others companies have gone through cuts and i am not sure why things should continue to be different here or maybe I am wrong with this. Thoughts?

The company is currently stable, but starting from Q4 of 2024, morale is expected to decline due to a restructuring that will separate affiliates into their own domains, eliminating the previous support system. Additionally, the return to the office (RTO) is being implemented under the guise of "culture," which may not be entirely accurate. There have been no replacements for the COVID supplies still in place from 2020, increasing the risk of a new viral outbreak. One positive aspect is that the hybrid work model has allowed employees to work remotely. However, with Berkshire taking full control of PacifiCorp, it's likely that conditions will worsen. The Salt Lake City site is already in disrepair and the new building plan includes an open office layout without any breakrooms.
