Valero has announced closure of the Benicia Refinery in April 2026, the city freaks out... Valero sent a formal notice to the California Energy Commission and noted they will idle, restructure, or shut down refining activities. Mayor and City Manager Mario said it su-ks but they have all under control (yeah, right). Lane Riggs confirmed there will be cuts and the local economy will suffer but hey... It's all business... Now let the blame game begin.
