The environment is so toxic these days, we can’t get anything done because so many people have been let go. I personally have IT tickets pending for 3 months. God help you if you need to find an SE to help spec a sale. No leads from marketing. Every day is a battle and then you hear of entire departments being let go…..it’s not AI taking the job as we have some of the worst internal processes on the planet and it’s not restructuring to find a different type of person because the new people they bring in are mainly new to the industry. It is all about maximising the cost savings KPIs the BOD gave to the ELT. Toxic toxic toxic to the core

(ELT) morally corrupt I hope they end up in court one day, won't be the first
What a time to be at Teradata. We’re hearing about huge “inducement awards” (like, seriously?), and now 'the blessed' are off vacationing in Rome. You’d think that money would be better spent trying to save some jobs instead of funding a luxury getaway. All while the company’s financials are heading downhill fast. It’s almost certain more layoffs are coming soon since the numbers just aren’t adding up through real customer sales. Clearly, the higher-ups are milking this cash cow until it finally dies—which, judging by the numbers, won’t be long. Senior leadership is making it their priority to enrich themselves over the long-term wellbeing of the company or the employees. Greed, Incompetence and Hubris - maybe that should be the new corporate motto? What do you think marketing?
Give or take 4000 people have been let go by this company over the past few years. A reasonable amount of people become employed by Teradata customers. I would fully expect a lot of these people are in decision making roles when it comes to purchase decisions. Teradata leadership have sunk the company by nonstop layoffs and everyone knows it. As they say death by 1000 cuts…
Some for cost savings, some to pay $16.5m:
