i have firm news that 5% cuts are going to happen around the June timeframe. Dell is going to credit AI for making it happen. Both ISG and CSG will be impacted—the bottom 5%!
Journey to make Dell lean continues!
Good luck everyone!

By the end of Q2, most of the reductions appear to involve managers who were either unable to transition to individual contributor roles or were underperforming in their managerial capacity. These cuts are expected to remain below 5%. However, a more significant round of reductions is anticipated toward the end of the year, intended to align operating expenses with annual targets and meet the North Star headcount reduction goals.
@OP I can’t believe it is not more than 5%. I know they got me and it was completely off guard towards my cut off for this company for many years and now I’m gone some way because my old manager was a piece of …. Um, work. The package not terrible but nothing to get excited with either.
@d8 today. One of my best friends just got the news.
has the project gone live yet?
I’m HR, this post is fake news.
When in June?
It’s not 5%, it’s 50%. New guidance from Bain.
Fingers crossed
better to just reorg again and flatten the layers
fingers crossed
Did the layoffs start today? I keep getting prompted for my password, it doesn't work and I can't reset it
1% cuts with most groups exempt .
You got it wrong. It's the top 5% (according to Dell's garbage in garbage out performance databases) that will keep their jobs and tbe bottom 95% will be shown tbe door.
Uh-oh.. gulp..
Not bad, we used to have 10/40/40/10 - every manage had to submit a bottom 10% and if you were in the bottom 40% that quarter, you became the lowest 10% the next
