I sort of enjoyed using my photo to spark conversation starters when dealing with customers. Now everyone will get to see my face in full view while they treat me like garbage. Every corporate call is just another generic slew of faces.

@v6+1jwpxfv6m personality comes out from how how carry yourself and having your camera on. Relying on a photograph to carry you implies the lack of personality I would suggest

People not caring which is most people more than likely realize that there are more important things to consider vs having a 'custom' photo as "conversation starters."
I, like many, use my mouth to start conversations. IMO, anyone who would have to rely on a pic to start conversations must have little to no personality.
Maybe that is your point but when you stated "happy about this" but I wasn't sure what "this" was exactly since there are opposing viewpoints.

Do not go to team outings, events, meetings, they will share your pic on linkedIN.

My whole team boycotted this nonsense by hiding our photos.
it was ok until the ukraine issue. as soon as it came to our greatest ally cisco became very touchy and closed off that feature
Go into the corporate directory and hide your photo. Wait for the next sync. At least you are not (yet) forced to share your mug shot witb the world.
I absolutely hate it. It’s like seeing a prison photo of the day you got locked up.
