Upper management is looking at badge in and out again. Habitual offenders will be bounced, no questions and no explanation. They are also comparing badge swipes and how often each associate VPNs into the network.

@jy I think the OP meant was there are depts that come in to Corp in the am, leave at lunch and WFH for the afternoon. This is all to avoid being on the badge swipe report. I’ve also heard about taking a closer look at VPN data to better understand where the work force truly is. I’m hoping for a layoff. Where can I volunteer?

@j8 I highly doubt the supposed half day badge swipes are happening in SDS There’s too much work to do

@cr there are many depts who openly work 1/2 days in the office for the “badge swipe”. The VPN check will show who the offenders are and which dept/mgrs are allowing it.

While I agree to trust no on. The HR angle is interesting but does anyone think an HR mgr would actually post here? I think this place will never be the same.

@OP So for the VPN checks do you think they’re trying to confirm that people are actually working on WFH days? Are they also taking into consideration all the times folks VPN to work on weekends or reading and responding to emails on their phones? There’s a lot more work being done by many in addition to Mon-Fri 8-5 shifts! Wish I’d left 10 years ago Now at my age I’m kinda sc--wed if laid off.
