Thread regarding Qorvo layoffs

lets ask Perplexity: Why Some Employees View Qorvo Negatively as an Employer?

Poor Management and Leadership: Multiple reviews and employee comments highlight issues with Qorvo's management, describing it as "horrible," "poor," or "difficult to work with." Employees report a lack of support, poor communication, and favoritism, with some mentioning that management is often out of touch with employee needs and concerns

Toxic Work Culture: Several employees describe the work environment as "extremely toxic," with high levels of nepotism and a lack of inclusivity. There are reports of aggressive management styles and a culture that does not prioritize employee well-being

Unreasonable Workload and Hours: Many roles, especially in fabrication and operations, require long 11-12 hour shifts. Employees are often expected to do the work of multiple people due to chronic understaffing, leading to burnout and physical strain (e.g., repetitive motion injuries)

Strict and Punitive Attendance Policies: Qorvo is criticized for its strict point-based attendance system, where even a single emergency absence can negatively impact performance reviews. Sick days are difficult to schedule, and emergency situations are not accommodated

Limited Career Growth and Training: Advancement opportunities are described as minimal, with little emphasis on training or professional development. New hires often report being left to learn on their own, with inadequate support from trainers or leads

Layoff Practices: Qorvo reportedly has a tendency to lay off new employees before their first year to avoid giving raises, contributing to job insecurity and low morale

Repetitive and Uninspiring Work: Some employees mention a lack of innovation and describe the work as monotonous, with little to get excited about in terms of projects or company direction

Notable Quotes from Employee Reviews:

"Operators are treated like absolute throw away garbage. Sweat Shop level of treatment
"If you leave early it’s inexcusable. So if you have a lot of emergency best to steer far away from this company
"People are leaving left and right due to less pay than fair marketplace..
"Management does not have their peoples back. They play naive about all that goes on. Highin nepotism...

the one i report to, lost its hair, while puttin on the pounds and developed issues, lets everyone know, its significant "other" doesn't want to "engage " with it. Like its rocket science how to fix it. But everyday, I have to listen to it. Im pretty sure the significant "other" is not complaining to anyone.

My task everyday, hold a cinderblock above my head for 4 hours at a time, while management takes turns kickin me in the family jewels.

And the "challenged" one insults me. while trying to explain why it cant speak nice to people. Its beyond comprehension
