Segment Rates are not being updated....

https://www.irs.gov/retirement-plans/minimum-present-value-segment-rates

In Aug 2021 rates were .66/2.5/3.12...Last published rates were Jan 2025 at 4.7/5.5/5.92

So glad I left in 2022 with a bonus to my lump sum...current rates look like a lump of coal.

I find it odd that Trump and his cronies have not updated the rates since Jan 2025. Usually they are updated 30 days after the end of the month.

Oh, they probably let that guy or gal retire in the DOGE spree.

Wow +8 and -7... Pretty much 50/50 feedback. What's up with that?

Yeah, I noticed it just the other day. I’m shocked that no one in the business world is asking why!

BTW, the folks that retired in Nov ‘22 are still super lucky. That was once in a lifetime opportunity.

This is a big deal and a sign that our dysfunctional government is starting to show its cracks.. You better hope Trump drives down those interest rates so your lump sums can get bigger. The only rates that matter for this year retirements are Aug 2024 rates. The Aug 2025 rates will impact all retirement lump sums for 2026 CY. That is how if works.

I wonder how it works with no rates?

Attention Pensioners, If you don't know how these interest rates impact your lump sum you are living in a bubble. Rule of 55 and 72Ts are thing you should also know about.
