Hi , I interviewed with Micron and it went really well. I have feedback that they have selected my candidate and forwarded it to higher management for approval. After a month I still have the same status waiting for management approval. Any idea when Micron will start approving new hire positions.

My guess is the hiring freeze may impact your approval. If I'm in your position, I will continue the job hunting as if I never heard about it. If there is really an offer in a written form, then I will start to think about it.

First, the fact you are trying to get a job is priority 1 to you. But, its just a list of things that have to be done by others. And its summer. People go on vacation. Last time I was waiting on something similar, it took 3 weeks for the signatures. I didn't worry because I knew I had the job (my interview was a kick back hey hows it going...long time no talk...) just needed the signatures. It wasnt until 3 months they said...you know you never gave us a resume.

It is a toss up. Micron is incompetent or in a hiring freeze until I suspect the economy becomes more predictable.
