Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Is VSP offered this time?

Read posts saying that CPM notifications will start going out as early as next week to those impacted. Since there is no across the board VSP/ERP offered, does it mean that all those notified/impacted will be effectively ISP? Or Some groups will also offer VSP and people will be notified of that?

There is no VSP this time at all. In some groups, some people were allowed to opt in to be placed on the CPM (which basically means Intel will lay you off due to cease of job function NOT underperformance. Therefore, all employees that are on the layoff list will be entitled to receive Intel's basic severance package) That's it.

ELT said there would be VSP, but that the final decision on those would be FLM and SLM.

Senior managers have stated repeatedly that they did not like VSP.

They want to be able to choose who exits, without all that other attrition.

I thought HR had a legal reason for always offering VSP but maybe all that was needed was to oust Christie.

They also appear to have used Rewards budgeting to reinforce the retention massage, since it was happening in this time frame as well.

There is no money to hand out to anyone. The max is 6 paychecks after yout last date on July 15th. Redeployment will be awarded but that means nothing if all they want to do is reduce headcount and I think we have a hiring freeze at the moment
