Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

Trying Trying

I’m trying to have an open mind ……Trying to be engaged in the firms results Trying not to tune out elt members talking at us with positivity and enthusiasm when so many of us are feeling significant uncertainty Trying trying trying And it’s exhausting Am I the only one? I miss the days when I cared I miss the days when I was passionate about what we do for clients and inspired by words from our MP We need to get past T2 and focus on moving forward

@OP You are not alone. I want to try as well, but just too burned out with all of it. I was proud to be a part of EJ but those days are gone. The trust that the associates had in the company is gone. One Edward Jones? Gone. What we are left with is Us vs Them. Uninspired and cliche messaging. Their talking points are incredibly tone deaf and insincere.

Penny started by saying EJ is 55,000 associates working in symbiotic partnership. She forgot to say for now until you are forced leave. I wonder if that number counts our Indian associates.

Nothing like listening to the Green Acres CEO babble buzzwords.

Yup. I wonder how many of us are scrolling here instead of actually listening to the firm update.
