Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Set in Our Ways

Intel is at least 10 years behind in almost everything. If Intel employees actually took a look around industry and took real interest in technology again they would see how much things have changed since they’d joined Intel 15+ years ago. I spoke with many of the PEs and senior PEs from SATG and elsewhere and I wasn’t impressed by skills or direction. These folks are wasting fking money. VPs have become comfortable playing low-level exec and swear that their underling brown nosed staff are high performers but really their groups are nepotistic fiefdoms that don’t get enough honest, outside scrutiny to know which way the wind is blowing. … and then there is the high performers/low performers debate. Think of it this way—if the task is to push a boulder to the top of a hill but the boulder is rolling backwards, do you truly have any “high performers” in your group? No, employees are a means to an end—a team full of average role players will always beat a team full of so-called high performers (even if they were deemed high performers after being evaluated fairly which they are not at intel given all the foreign bigotry against native born Americans etc.)

@OP you spoke with many Sr PE and PEs in SATG and were not impressed. SATG was dissolved and I bet you don't know more than 3 Sr PE or PE.
