Still trying to understand how layoffs at Dell were decided...
My team just got merged with another, and now we suddenly have more people not because we needed help, but because others needed a place to land. Some of them have big titles, but no clue what our team actually does. Honestly, they've been coasting for years, just copying what others do.
What’s worse - many don’t even have basic professional etiquette. Meanwhile, talented, hardworking people were the ones who got laid off. It really makes you wonder what the rules are at Dell… or if there are any at all.
Ownership is just a label at this point. Real work and impact don’t seem to matter as much as visibility or politics. Frustrating to see how this all plays out.
