I have been trying to simplify the inpact of the terrible leaders we have in our company. Simolify it to convey the severity and this is my current conclusion.
Exxonmobil managers are personalities who are adult bullies, insecure of their own future, incompetent to jump ship and grossly negligent of human behavior and emotions for personal monetary gains. They often act like the guy or woman above, who acts like those above and so on. Just to make sure their next PDS and one year worth of pay is not negatively impacted.
This toxic behavior ki-ls employee individuality. Either you start believing that this is how you need to behave to be successful, and become like them or you silently protest unable to ever produce your best work or best self in aspects outside of work.
The problem is with the management and leadership, plain and clear. They need to be told clearly or nothing will change. They need to be shown the mirror of their incompetence and non existing people skills, developing these and imolementing is why they are supposed to be paid.
Slowly all this stress ki-ls your motivation, makes you want to question your own decisions and competence. Please stay strong, and balanced. Never react to these horrible personalities. They are bullied who have not succeeded in any other aspects of their hence they want control at work. Never lose your self respect to these bullies, its not worth it. Daily, soend the same time and energy working your way out, silently taking the paycheck.
Walk out when they shout, ignore when they give you unessacary manual work, be cautioned when they dangle carrots of future assignments, because the truth is they don’t know their own future.
Never ever believe your manager at ExxonMobil. They may have started with good intent, but given what’s going on around you they are fully responsible for staying silent and not pushing back.
Stay true to your self, your individuality and authenticity will be your biggest competitive advantage. Don’t let psychopaths, bullies aka ‘managers’ ruin your peace, they are very mich intentionally doing what they do, not taking time to learn, and not having any self awareness ate not excuses for the amounts they get paid.
We are ExxonMobil is a sham from top to the bottom, full of lies manipulation and fake smiles. And they all nnow it, they laugh about it, I know because I have been in that role for a while and was then kicked out. This is the worst of the worst corporate culture — new hires be warned. Leave this place and start a new life.
