Another BIG Client leaviing. Wonder why ? I dont think it would be the fact that they get great service from India.
Our team lost 20 percent.
Good strategy to loose more clients - winning the loosing numbers.
As some one who was there for 22 years before being discarded. The company will
never post the number of workers let go, the departments or countries.
They prefer to keep everyone in the dark about who is being let go and the numbers.
So I am my coworkers would find up by calling our friends/contacts in other departments and buildings as to who was let go.
@OP I don't think it's irresponsible at all. This site is meant for sharing rumors and speculations. Being in the company for the last 15 years, nothing surprised me anymore.
I think it’s irresponsible to make a comment about 10-15% of the company being let go here unless you can say you are in a position to know. Unfortunately I can’t say one way or another since my manager does not tell us anything or I would.
India: cheap and brain at all
Poland: less cheap and half brain
My two cents on the two locations
@md Just wait till they outsource to Haiti (lol)
Poland cannot be considered anymore a low cost location.
Salaries and promotions skyrocketed over there. So, I doubt they will move things to Poland so easily in the future.
It's all about India !
That is why they keep the few U.S workers left , to fix all the poor quality work being done by the Indian staff.
Sigh I remember when it was all U.S workers the company standard was 90% free error work.
You can lay off 15% of India and only lose about 1% of knowledge. These people literally know nothing. Cheap labor, yes. Brains? No.
Not sure if this is real. But they keep downsizing western countries.
Poland and India are much needed as low cost locations
