We just had our meeting. My boss told us that the company will flatter from bottom to CEO as 6 levels not like right now is 8 levels from tech to CEO starting next week. Good luck OM

Managers are just MBA. Can not switch to IC.
Just cut off managers! And cut off program managers. They are cancer.
Good. I am too important to be 8 levels down. I deserve 3 or 4. 7 or 8 is for AMD employees.
You can’t switch a manager back to an IC and expect them to be successful. That’s like switching an Oligarch back to the factory floor. Good luck with that!

@a2 If Intel history repeats, they'll be changed to ICs but keep their grade level. Some will be laid off for optics, but most will continue to collect the same salary.
Yes, they have moved middle management out of the way so now the org is more flatulent.
But OP is still gonna be laid off, along with all the other low level employees.
They are not needed, due to the middle managers becoming individual contributors.
