Been hearing 1st week of July, BNSF is looking to cut in the red river division, but rumors are a mix between mechanical and TY&E. Would make a year since the last furloughs for mechanical, anyone else hearing anything about 2nd quarter cuts. Rumor is 10% per location.

What is BN going to do with Alliance NE?
You just have to watch out man. They'll dangle a cord in front of you to see if your gonna grab. But you have to see that there not striking the right chord with the work force. Next thing you know they stab you in the badonkadonk. That's bad leadership. And nobody trusts them.

We got our pep talk the other day how the Southwest is doing Great! Yeah volume is down, but Dwell is down and Velocity is up. Typical blowing smoke to make you feel safe. Doesn’t take a college degree to understand volume velocity and dwell. This boss just loves to hear himself talk.
They'll cut the bottom roster guys that are eager to work. While the old heads continue to drag their feet and be lazy. Funny thing is this company doesn't care about turn over. They'll gladly waste money training just to cut for shareholders profits. FAFO is real. Lots of guys are looking for other jobs and don't plan on coming back.
Hopefully it will be before then end of the 2nd quarter. 10% at wash location would definitely be doing those getting furloughed a favor. Those numbers for carman are definitely setting us up for failure. A foreman at my location said they were going to reevaluate man power in June sometime
I’m a Carman and they won’t shut up about getting productivity numbers up. The program doesn’t even accurately measure what we are doing. Probably by design. I’ve been doing this awhile and have never seen such lack of leadership. Don’t even worry about it anymore. Cutting us will be doing us a favor.
