Cuts happened in my organization even on a holiday weekend.

There are still lots of remote IT workers. And folks and especially managers at EO&T hide behind their JIRA boards. They don’t do much useful work but create an impression that their team is overworked. When JIRA was introduced they got rid of directors and managers, in 2023, who actually delivered results. They got rid of folks who understood legacy platforms and added automation prophets.

10 pct was the rough target for all divisions to my understanding this is nothing new. Not all divisions have completed their cuts thus the expectation is some will be impacted next week as well. This is all part of the same exercise doing it in small waves.
I have heard this from few other colleagues too. But doubt I can confirm anything before we come back from the long weekend.
