You are stupid. Intel is a stingy company and pays low wages from the start relative to the market. Meager wage increases of a few percent are a scam. For comparison, I worked at Intel for 27 years, after I left on a VSP package and found a new job, I received an hourly wage of twice the amount I earned at Intel all those years and after all the wage increases over the years. Run away from there at the first opportunity of VSP

@c0 so you went from 100k to 200k as a technician? You are selling wolf tickets sir....
There is no more VSP. It is all involuntary now.
@dn I did...
I found roughly the same job paying 80% more. No BS.
Thanks MJ for your lack of leadership. Without you I might have stuck around forever and never realized how underpaid I was.
Grade 9's make $225k base?
Yes. Intels pay is sh-t. Especially for what they expect out of an employee and if you're working at Intel as a contractor, you should reconsider your life choices.
And who said I was grade 9? You, not me.
I was grade 57...
Reconsider your calculation and you will find that its true
BS, you didn't double your salary. After 27 years you would have been at least a grade 9 with base salary in the $225K range. This would be an hourly wage of over $100 per hour. You didn't find a job that pays you over $200 an hour.
Leaving Intel is the right path.
