The tech industry continues to see downsizing with over 61,000 workers across 130 companies being shown the door so far in 2025, according to Layoffs.fyi, after over 150,000 were let go in 2024.

Inspite of all the layoffs we just approved New 120,000 H1b to be brought in this year for Jobs.. coz you know the hiring managers didnt find anyone to work .

I'm so happy to be out of the tech industry. It's no fun selling commoditized products in a crowded industry full of billionaires, consultants, and leaders who are in a race to see who can off-shore, AI-automate, humiliate, and WFR their employees the most thoroughly. There's no future. I wasted 20 years and wish I had gotten into my industry sooner.

@OP : yes this definitely happening, 20:1 span, some basic automation of tools, everything clearly indicates more and more role redundancy.. more profits continues to be of utmost importance
