Thread regarding Kraft Heinz layoffs

"Strategic Transactions"

What's up with this commentary? Are there potentially going to be more brand sales/divestitures?

@cf well guys full split is now confirmed. Batten down the hatches...spinoffs come with bunch of cost, and offsetting that requires cutting everything else...sales, marketing, marketing spend, contractors...anything not churning out more ketchup and ultimately even that.

Stocks are tanking so something big should be coming to save this company. Could sell a few brands as a package deal since there were no takers on Oscar Mayer.

“Balance” brands were identified as those that are scaled and cash generators but exposed to private label and commodity market volatility. Businesses in the portfolio include Oscar Mayer, Gevalia coffee, Maxwell House coffee, Jell-O, Lunchables and some cheese brands.
